The audience was convinced that Major Barna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Harro Meier was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Fodor Daniel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bernd Beike showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 34 minute of play. Hungary's Antal Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernd Beike in the 48th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antal Valentin to make the kick off. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernd Beike, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernd Beike couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute Silvio Honesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute of the match YugiPeeK ✈ got a corner. Hungary's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cecilio Jerrold ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind YugiPeeK ✈'s goalkeeper Harro Meier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. YugiPeeK ✈ succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Hungary had controlled the match.
