The supporters of Portugal booed when George Weahs Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kimani Obondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kimani Obondo kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Viriato Moura kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aggelos Telakos. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. In the 7th minute, Mwai Emilio Otieno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 7 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Mwai Emilio Otieno came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Viriato Moura got free with Aggelos Telakos in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 11 minutes into the match, George Weahs Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Aggelos Telakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Caetano Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, George Weahs Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Aggelos Telakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mwai Emilio Otieno, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The George Weahs Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 22nd minute of play forced George Weahs Academy's goalkeeper Aggelos Telakos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Franco Burgos came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Francis Birir, made in the 28th minute of the game. George Weahs Academy's Aggelos Telakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Franco Burgos came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aggelos Telakos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Moreira in the 33rd minute of play. Portugal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Felipe Barreto in the 35th minute. Felipe Barreto made a great header on Portugal's corner, it was just that George Weahs Academy's Aggelos Telakos managed to reach the ball for a save. Aggelos Telakos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Barreto in the 45th minute.

In the 70th minute, Francis Birir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the match, George Weahs Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolomeu Dias came free, but Aggelos Telakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolomeu Dias in the 72nd minute of play forced George Weahs Academy's goalkeeper Aggelos Telakos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aggelos Telakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolomeu Dias in the 76th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in George Weahs Academy's zone, Felipinho Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aggelos Telakos came out of the goal and Felipinho Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the match, George Weahs Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Felipinho Amorim came free, but Aggelos Telakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aggelos Telakos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipinho Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franco Burgos had several of the Portugal's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 85 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Wilson Amorim as he didn't even see the shot coming. Aggelos Telakos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 96 played minutes George Weahs Academy got a freekick which was hit by Francis Birir. The George Weahs Academy supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing George Weahs Academy would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
