Mario Gelacio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Dietrich Heppner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴ booed when Academica Pulheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jakob Schaaf didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute Alwin Korte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Hondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴'s goalkeeper Alberto Hondo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conny Stober. 32 minutes into the match, Academica Pulheim's goal looked a bit too open when Inocencio Osasun came free, but Dietrich Heppner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 33 minutes Academica Pulheim's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Inocencio Osasun who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Inocencio Osasun got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dietrich Heppner quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴'s Alberto Hondo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴ from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jari Anzengruber got free with Alberto Hondo in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Conny Stober made a kick off. Gaston Demario kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴'s Alberto Hondo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conny Stober in the 55th minute of play. When Mario Gelacio fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴'s protests and gave Mario Gelacio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th match minute, Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Gelacio to maneuver through the defense. Academica Pulheim's Dietrich Heppner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ermegildo Montae in the 69th minute of play. After 75 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Academica Pulheim! The goalkeeper, Dietrich Heppner, was totally fooled by Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴'s Inocencio Osasun, who 78 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Academica Pulheim's Dietrich Heppner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Academica Pulheim from getting a goal against them. If Stefan Winitzki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Academica Pulheim were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
