Gonz FC's David Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 16th minute of play. David Madureira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bertram Svenningsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. David Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gonz FC's goalkeeper David Madureira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Denmark's attentive Olav Graversen managed to snatch the ball when Rene Benino made a throw-in in the 37th minute of the game. Chris Nygaard kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chris Nygaard to strike the kick off in the second half. David Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertram Svenningsen in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute of the match Denmark got a corner. Gonz FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Chris Nygaard ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Salvatore Schillaci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute Salvatore Schillaci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the game, Salvatore Schillaci cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Keld Paulsen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Denmark's Chris Nygaard in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gonz FC's goalie prevented a goal. 69 minutes into the match, Gonz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but David Madureira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertram Svenningsen in the 83rd minute of play forced Gonz FC's goalkeeper David Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Chris Nygaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eugeniusz Zapolski during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 87th match minute, Gonz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugeniusz Zapolski to maneuver through the defense. When Chris Nygaard came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Denmark fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chris Nygaard couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chris Nygaard got free with David Madureira in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Denmark played a much better game than Gonz FC and deserved their victory. The Gonz FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
