But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vincent Dry couldn't finish the play. When Bohumir Kohout fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Czech Republic's protests and gave Bohumir Kohout a yellow card for diving instead. Jason Lobb took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan Rezek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vavrinec Holub made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Vincent Dry sent off a good shot on target. In the 65th minute Alan Rezek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jason Lobb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jason Lobb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Rezek, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Gerry Bibby could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Vavrinec Holub however easily saved by the left post.
