Anastasio Luar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fodor Daniel came out and tried to block the shot, but Anastasio Luar slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. Julio Belarmo came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Hungary's Major Barna. But to his dismay, Major Barna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rosendo Aimar during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th minute, Rosendo Aimar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute Takacs Tibor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Belarmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antal Valentin in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Belarmo saved Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş from getting behind. In the 42nd minute, Major Barna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anastasio Luar in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş's Ciriaco Nesto got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute, Major Barna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Antal Valentin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Belarmo, 1-3. Major Barna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Belarmo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 61st minute of play forced Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş's goalkeeper Julio Belarmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugenio Argider sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Antal Valentin came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antal Valentin couldn't finish the play. Rosendo Aimar was shown his second yellow card after 73 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Julio Belarmo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. Hungary's Antal Valentin suffered a sore thigh after 78 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ciriaco Nesto charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciriaco Nesto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 79th minute, Ciriaco Nesto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Belarmo having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş's Placido Janpier got a free kick in the 86th minute. Major Barna might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Belarmo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Major Barna ran back to his position shaking his head. When Jonas Imre got free in front of the goal in the 89th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Julio Belarmo was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anastasio Luar in the 94th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Major Barna might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Belarmo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Major Barna ran back to his position shaking his head. The Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hungary were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
