The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A throw-in in the 13th minute of the game was made by Willy Stieler with Albin Holweck as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Apolo Romero struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. In the 20th minute of the game Willy Stieler made a throw-in which Albin Holweck played forward. 22 minutes into the match, Apolo Romero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Apolo Romero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a long run with the ball, Apolo Romero did a trick in the 27th minute in front of Germany's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 2-0. An impressive performance by Cachiyuyo EAS's Apolo Romero! In the 31st match minute, Cachiyuyo EAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Palban to maneuver through the defense. Frank Sachs's late challenge caught a Cachiyuyo EAS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frank Sachs helped the player get up and apologised. Frank Sachs kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. The supporters of Cachiyuyo EAS booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Mergenthaler didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 36 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Chris Mergenthaler. When Apolo Romero came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Cachiyuyo EAS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Apolo Romero couldn't finish the play. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apolo Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Germany's Albin Holweck got a free kick in the 47th minute. Cachiyuyo EAS made a substitution. Dito Sena replaced Ermegildo Patrido. After 49 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabricio Rencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. With a little luck, Cachiyuyo EAS's Evaristo Velasco got control of the ball when Frank Sachs tried to sneak it across the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Cachiyuyo EAS's Fabricio Rencio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fabricio Rencio took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Rencio in the 77th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabricio Rencio took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. In the 84th minute, Malte Schiele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabricio Rencio in the 90th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Fabricio Rencio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Fabricio Rencio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 94 minutes, Alfredo Bertran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cachiyuyo EAS and the Germany players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alfredo Bertran hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Germany's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
