João Brites showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 3rd minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Hungary's corner Antal Valentin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and João Brites quite easily take care of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mira Sintra's zone, Takacs Tibor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Brites came out of the goal and Takacs Tibor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hegedus Henrik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Brites having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Major Barna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. João Brites took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Major Barna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Brites was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Taveira got free with Fodor Daniel in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 1-0 became the score in the 42nd minute when Amauri van Beek elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Hegedus Henrik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Mira Sintra made a substitution. Mateo Rusin replaced Vicente Taveira. João Brites made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Major Barna sent off a good shot on target. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. João Brites tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute Amauri van Beek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 61 minutes Mira Sintra's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Antal Valentin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this João Brites quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but João Brites made a huge save. 65 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Mateo Rusin came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amauri van Beek, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateo Rusin in the 72nd minute of play. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. João Brites tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hungary's Antal Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amauri van Beek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hegedus Henrik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Brites read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Mira Sintra were victorious despite being under pressure from Hungary for much of the match.
