Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 7 minutes, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Major Barna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th minute, Kent Berglund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The corner ended in Krister Rudkvist almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel did a great save. Kent Berglund charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kent Berglund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th match minute, Albins Kamrater was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kent Berglund to maneuver through the defense. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

50 minutes into the match, Albins Kamrater's Michael Påk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fodor Daniel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Kvalfält in the 55th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Hegedus Henrik got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Albins Kamrater made a substitution. Jan Blomqvist replaced Frank Kvalfält. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Jan-Åke Jönsson in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Påk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oskar Wiklund ran back to his position shaking his head. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Påk, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
