Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Zamalek FC's Fred Kirkpatrick started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Meesters in the 11th minute of play forced Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Rhys Dimmock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wim Wilmes in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rhys Dimmock prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mugurel Balaeț in the 17th minute. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Sergey Krasinskiy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sergey Krasinskiy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. In a very dangerous position, a player in Zamalek FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! After 35 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rhys Dimmock was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rhys Dimmock having to interfere. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Elin Elin sent off a good shot on target. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rhys Dimmock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The Zamalek FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Netherlands were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Sergey Krasinskiy came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Lane came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Lars Meesters got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rhys Dimmock quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mugurel Balaeț in the 64th minute of the match. When Mugurel Balaeț came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Zamalek FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mugurel Balaeț couldn't finish the play. Zamalek FC's Daron Joseph was substituted for Leonardo Lane. 70 minutes in the game, Wim Wilmes dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Zamalek FC's Rhys Dimmock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 73rd minute of play. Wim Wilmes made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that Zamalek FC's Rhys Dimmock managed to reach the ball for a save. Wim Wilmes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Rhys Dimmock when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mugurel Balaeț received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tytus Banaszak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Zamalek FC's Mugurel Balaeț got a free kick in the 95th minute. Rhys Dimmock made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 96th minute. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Zamalek FC.
