Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lovro Majer, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. The Lipovljani fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Lipovljani's Tonko Urban looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tonko Urban in the 10th minute of play. Raul Caetano hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute of the match Rio Mata sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wilson Amorim skillfully saved the ball. A hard shot 16 in the game by Felipe Barreto from a close distance when the talented Jânio Branco managed to make a qualified save. Lipovljani's players were relieved. The supporters of Portugal booed when Lipovljani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jakov Cvjetković didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes in the game, Viriato Moura dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Lipovljani's goalkeeper Jânio Branco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Viriato Moura. 24 minutes into the game, Felipe Barreto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jânio Branco. Felipe Barreto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tonko Urban in the 27th minute of the match. Lipovljani's Jânio Branco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Lipovljani from getting a goal against them. 37 minutes into the match, Lipovljani's goalkeeper Jânio Branco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipe Barreto. 42 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Tonko Petrlin came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Lipovljani made a substitution. Domagoj Grković replaced Marijan Ojdanić. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viriato Moura to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 70th minute of play forced Lipovljani's goalkeeper Jânio Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 91st match minute, Lipovljani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tonko Petrlin to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute Felipinho Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jânio Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 96 minutes, Rodolfo Miranda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Portugal and the Lipovljani players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Rodolfo Miranda hit a great ball.
