Ersen Bumba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Vittori having to interfere. José Sand kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Sigfrido Auletta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Italy's attentive Eliseo Cutri managed to snatch the ball when Ayvaz Tanay made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. Carlos Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Ersen Bumba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Flavio Vittori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Italy booed when ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waclaw Hajder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Porziano Marchitelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zaccheo Andolina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Baptista having to interfere. Eliseo Cutri charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliseo Cutri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zaccheo Andolina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Ayvaz Tanay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Italy the free kick. After a rather tough play, ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's Ayvaz Tanay got a free kick in the 55th minute. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ersen Bumba in the 64th minute of the match. ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's Emre Mor was substituted for Atilla Tarkan Ulgu. 67 minutes into the game, Ayvaz Tanay threw the ball into play from the sideline. Italy's Siricio Liotta quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zaccheo Andolina in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Baptista saved ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ from getting behind. After 74 played minutes Italy got a freekick which was hit by Porziano Marchitelli. In the 77th minute Ersen Bumba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's Carlos Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 81st minute of play. Italy made a substitution. Guiscardo Davide replaced Sigfrido Auletta. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Siricio Liotta was slow to take the kick. During this time Italy's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Italy's Guiscardo Davide to fire away a dangerous shot which Carlos Baptista despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Erdeniz Karadeniz hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Carlos Baptista made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Porziano Marchitelli sent off a good shot on target. Waclaw Hajder hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's Carlos Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siricio Liotta in the 90th minute of play. With a little luck, ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's Carlos Baptista got control of the ball when Adriano Curto tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match was over Italy could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ throughout the match.
