All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Simon Bannenbusch stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 61 minutes into the game, KFC Uerdingen 05's Simon Bannenbusch nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After 63 played minutes KFC Uerdingen 05 got a freekick which was hit by Marian Matetzki. The audience was convinced that Frank Sachs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ago Vaasna was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luo Ying Liang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led to KFC Uerdingen 05's Hartwig Engelhardt getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. KFC Uerdingen 05 fully deserved thier win.
