Semi Özakan's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Semi Özakan helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Semi Özakan hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's İstemihan Akcebe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tommy Kahn. That made the score 0-8 after 82 minutes of play. In the 86th minute Albin Holweck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaltino Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Mergenthaler to maneuver through the defense. When İstemihan Akcebe came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that İstemihan Akcebe couldn't finish the play.
