The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipinho Amorim got free with Jess Carnduff in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Portugal booed when Alemannia Aachen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aulis Salomaa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felipinho Amorims short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Jess Carnduff to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 86th minute of the match Portugal got a corner. Alemannia Aachen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Pimentel ran over to the corner to take the kick. Alemannia Aachen's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
