Hungary's Antal Valentin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but George Buffon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gunnar Ekeroth stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the match, Major Barna tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but George Buffon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. George Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 53rd minute of play. After 58 played minutes, Three Lions FC's Benito McRae shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fodor Daniel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Three Lions FC reached it. George Buffon made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Balazs Lajos sent off a good shot on target. George Maldini charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed George Maldini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Major Barna got free with George Buffon in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. George Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 71st minute of the match. After 73 played minutes Three Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by George Grealish. The audience thought a goal was coming when Major Barna got free with George Buffon in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antal Valentin in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of George Buffon, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Hungary booed when Three Lions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Maldini didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg George Buffon managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when Hungary's Antal Valentin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Major Barna might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over George Buffon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Major Barna ran back to his position shaking his head. The Three Lions FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hungary were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
