Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Simon Bannenbusch made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ago Vaasna was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 56 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Hartwig Engelhardt came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Lars Meesters put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Ago Vaasna. Arnout Reekers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. With a little luck, KFC Uerdingen 05's Ago Vaasna got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ago Vaasna came out and tried to block the shot, but Wim Wilmes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 71st minute. Thanks to some nice moves Gustaaf Groeneveldt could shoot a difficult shot in the 77th minute, which Ago Vaasna however easily saved by the left post. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after KFC Uerdingen 05's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. Ago Vaasna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hartwig Engelhardt in the 84th minute of the match. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
