In the 3rd minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brazilio Butt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 4th minute of play forced DIF LEEDS BK's goalkeeper Brazilio Butt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulf Nordlander got free with Fodor Daniel in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 15th minute Östen Hedin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulf Nordlander struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Fodor Daniel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DIF LEEDS BK. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silviu Novac in the 25th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brazilio Butt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Balazs Lajos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hungary's Major Barna pulled a muscle in his back after 36 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Saul Drew fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DIF LEEDS BK's protests and gave Saul Drew a yellow card for diving instead. Hungary made a substitution. Balazs Norbert replaced Major Barna. If Balazs Norbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Jörgen Beckman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brazilio Butt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Balazs Lajos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Balazs Lajos scored 0-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brazilio Butt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the DIF LEEDS BK defense, Antal Valentin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brazilio Butt. The DIF LEEDS BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brazilio Butt should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 65th minute of the match DIF LEEDS BK got a corner. Hungary's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mei Jie Feng ran over to the corner to take the kick. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Brazilio Butt made a huge save. In the 73rd minute of the match Hungary got a corner. DIF LEEDS BK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Östen Hedin in the 77th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Östen Hedin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DIF LEEDS BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brazilio Butt having to interfere. When the match was over Hungary could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than DIF LEEDS BK throughout the match.
