In the 3rd match minute, Rockets was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Róbson Messias to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute, João Pedro de Senna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sandro Galishoff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Adolfo Mineiro having to interfere. 33 minutes into the game, Rockets's Lucas Guedes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabio Auer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Fabio Auer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilvan Chaves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Adolfo Mineiro came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Austria's Marvin Harrer. But to his dismay, Marvin Harrer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sandro Galishoff to make the kick off. Fabio Schneider's late challenge caught a Rockets's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabio Schneider helped the player get up and apologised. Fabio Auer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Róbson Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Róbson Messias struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Fabio Auer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rockets. In the 70th minute, Rafael Riedl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the match, Rockets's goal looked a bit too open when Leonhard Maier came free, but João Adolfo Mineiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabio Auer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Pedro de Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Adolfo Mineiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marvin Harrer, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute, Emil Seidler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
