The Croatia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilija Skugor should have stopped the shot. Aristide Mârzac took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Bosak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Emilian Văduvescu had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 27 minutes, Toni Mauzer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Croatia and the FC Berea players grew even worse after the yellow card. FC Berea were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Croatia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Frederic Burg took the corner. Dinko Stankovic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristide Mârzac having to interfere. FC Berea's Ionel Hosu suffered a sprained foot after 55 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Damir Pongrac charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damir Pongrac the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Berea booed when Croatia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damir Pongrac didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 57 minutes, Eric Dărmănescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Berea and the Croatia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dinko Stankovic succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-1 in the 59th playminute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dinko Stankovic got free with Aristide Mârzac in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Louis Munteanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, FC Berea's Aristide Mârzac got control of the ball when Dinko Stankovic tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Eric Dărmănescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eric Dărmănescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilija Skugor having to interfere. FC Berea's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
