When Dinko Stankovic came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Croatia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dinko Stankovic couldn't finish the play. After having played for 11 minutes, Dinko Stankovic managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Croatia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dinko Stankovic was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Croatia booed when SocceroS Zory was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaroslaw Flis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Croatia's Damir Pongrac got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martin Bosak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute of the match Toni Mauzer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Artur Matela skillfully saved the ball. 25 minutes into the match, SocceroS Zory's Jaroslaw Flis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ilija Skugor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ilija Skugor made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Jaroslaw Flis sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Croatia booed when SocceroS Zory was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Jarosz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 29 minutes, Toni Mauzer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jan Nikodemski was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 34th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 44 minutes, Iwo Klucznik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SocceroS Zory and the Croatia players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of SocceroS Zory:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Croatia:s goal. In the 45th minute there was a penalty for Croatia. Toni Mauzer stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Artur Matela. 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Toni Mauzer made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Croatia's Toni Mauzer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Artur Matela. That made the score 0-2 after 53 minutes of play. When Neven Culina fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Croatia's protests and gave Neven Culina a yellow card for diving instead. After 64 played minutes Croatia got a freekick which was hit by Neven Culina. In the 66th minute Toni Mauzer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Matela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaroslaw Flis, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute Jaroslaw Flis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilija Skugor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, SocceroS Zory's Jaroslaw Flis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ilija Skugor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Croatia's Neven Culina got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Dinko Stankovic could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Artur Matela made a huge save. When Aureliusz Zakrzewski fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SocceroS Zory's protests and gave Aureliusz Zakrzewski a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th minute, Aureliusz Zakrzewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toni Mauzer, 76 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 78th minute, Croatia's Patrik Terzic seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Patrik Terzic the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Croatia protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Patrik Terzic had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Croatia:s Ilija Skugor showed great skill when he stopped Jan Nikodemski:s penalty. In the 81st minute, Jaroslaw Dudek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dinko Stankovic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Artur Matela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Croatia's Martin Bosak got a free kick in the 87th minute. After some careless play in the Croatia defense, Artur Zajac kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilija Skugor. The Croatia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilija Skugor should have stopped the shot. Croatia's Ilija Skugor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Zajac in the 96th minute of play. Croatia's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
