Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Marcus Paes made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 4th match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Bastos to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute of the match Horia Voitiş shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wilson Amorim showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 9 minutes, Marcus Paes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jovens Democratas MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Paes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruy de Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruy de Brito might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ruy de Brito ran back to his position shaking his head. 18 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Paes came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Marcus Paes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jovens Democratas MZC's Jerome Rohrer got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 35 played minutes Jovens Democratas MZC got a freekick which was hit by Horia Voitiş. The crowd rose to their feet as Leonardo Guerra kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wilson Amorim. That made the score 1-0 in the 37 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Leonardo Guerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Leonardo Guerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dalmo Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Portugal were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Jovens Democratas MZC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Felipe Barreto took the corner. In the 43rd minute of the match Portugal got a corner. Jovens Democratas MZC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Felipe Barreto ran over to the corner to take the kick. Portugal's Fabricio Andrade was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dalmo Saldanha in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice moves Marcus Paes could shoot a difficult shot in the 46th minute, which Wilson Amorim however easily saved by the left post.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Viriato Moura was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Portugal's Felipe Barreto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dalmo Saldanha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Guerra in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute of the match, Daniel Pimentel tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dalmo Saldanha saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ruy de Brito in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 67 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Jerome Rohrer came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jovens Democratas MZC's Dobromir Zagrodny was substituted for Jerome Rohrer. Jovens Democratas MZC's Laerte Bittencourt was substituted for Valdir Miranda. Dalmo Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Pimentel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Lenzi in the 78th minute of the match. Dalmo Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipinho Amorim in the 79th minute of play. Dalmo Saldanha was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Bartolomeu Dias capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bartolomeu Dias really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Raul Caetano got a free kick in the 84th minute. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horia Voitiş in the 85th minute of play. Jovens Democratas MZC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Horia Voitiş in the 86th minute. Elano Loureiro was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 88th minute Bartolomeu Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Lenzi in the 93rd minute of play. Bartolomeu Dias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Dalmo Saldanha made a huge save. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Jovens Democratas MZC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
