The audience was convinced that Frank Sachs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nacho Chico was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Frank Sachs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nacho Chico having to make a save. 9 minutes into the match, Barrialito's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Nacho Chico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Barrialito's Rosendo Natal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tommy Kahn. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Barrialito's Gregorio Lop got a free kick in the 14th minute. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rosendo Natal's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. After 24 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Dreifuss. If Rosendo Natal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Rosendo Natal sent off a good shot on target. 27 minutes into the game, Germany's Frank Sachs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nacho Chico made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 30 minutes into the match, Frank Sachs notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Barrialito's Nacho Chico. Nacho Chico was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 40th minute of the match Chris Mergenthaler shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nacho Chico showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albin Holweck during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 43rd match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albin Holweck to maneuver through the defense. After 46 played minutes Barrialito got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Lop. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

55 minutes into the match, Barrialito's goalkeeper Nacho Chico had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Sachs. After a defensive mix-up in Barrialito's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nacho Chico came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benicio Mino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frank Sachss short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Nacho Chico to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Daniel Salomon fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barrialito's protests and gave Daniel Salomon a yellow card for diving instead. Daniel Salomon hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the game, Barrialito's Rosendo Natal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
