The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luca Buricea to make the kick off. Ilija Skugor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilie Enceanu in the 52nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dinko Stankovic got free with Silviu Lung in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Damir Pongrac fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silviu Lung having to interfere. The tension between the FC Ostroveni and the Croatia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mihai Paulică kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Croatia may have spent more time on the ball, but FC Ostroveni were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
