If Kong Yuan Sha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Levi von Herren's late challenge caught a Kura Shetakan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Levi von Herren helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Switzerland getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Levi von Herren hit a great ball. Hias Nüssli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Delbert Grady in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Maurer in the 21st minute of play forced Kura Shetakan's goalkeeper Gordon Banks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 minutes Kura Shetakan's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Samuele Kunz who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Timo Siegmund heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Alf Isaksson charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alf Isaksson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Kura Shetakan's Alf Isaksson got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 33 played minutes Kura Shetakan got a freekick which was hit by Alf Isaksson. Samuele Kunz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Kura Shetakan's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Maurer came free, but Gordon Banks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Song Shu Zhen hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Hias Nüssli was a little too slow when Olov Örtlund got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kong Yuan Sha in the 45th minute of play forced Switzerland's goalkeeper Hias Nüssli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Kong Yuan Sha made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Switzerland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timo Siegmund to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Switzerland's zone, Delbert Grady stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hias Nüssli came out of the goal and Delbert Grady tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hias Nüssli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kong Yuan Sha, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Switzerland's Rodrigo von Känel managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Olov Örtlund in the 62 minute of the game. Kong Yuan Sha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hias Nüssli having to interfere. After 72 minutes, Kong Yuan Sha made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Switzerland's Hias Nüssli tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th minute, Kong Yuan Sha made a precise shot to the right of Hias Nüssli. Switzerland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. If Delbert Grady had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Rodrigo von Känel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute Kong Yuan Sha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hias Nüssli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuele Kunz struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Gordon Banks didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Switzerland. Kong Yuan Sha took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hias Nüssli. Hias Nüssli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Hias Nüssli came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Kura Shetakan's Kong Yuan Sha. But to his dismay, Kong Yuan Sha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0.
