Miklós Fehér made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute, Miklós Fehér ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maxime Durand was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 9 minutes, Botond Kutasi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Budapest and the France players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th match minute, FC Budapest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Botond Kutasi to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the game, France's Frank Peletier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bálint Hellinger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Tamás Káposztás charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tamás Káposztás the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tamás Káposztás hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the match, France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miklós Fehér. If Róbert Kállai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Frank Peletier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Budapest's Miklós Fehér was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 33rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 35 minutes, Miklós Fehér mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Budapest and the France players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Budapest getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Botond Kutasi hit a great ball. In the 46th minute, Tamás Káposztás hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

51 minutes into the match, FC Budapest's goal looked a bit too open when Camille Baume came free, but Bálint Hellinger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 52 minutes into the game, FC Budapest's Miklós Fehér nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maxime Durand made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Tamás Káposztás made in the 58th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by France's Remy Dupuy. Maxime Durand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miklós Fehér in the 64th minute of the match. 65 minutes in the game, Miklós Fehér dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Miklós Fehér had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maxime Durand. France's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miklós Fehér was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. France's Maxime Durand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miklós Fehér in the 72nd minute of play. After some careless play in the France defense, Miklós Fehér kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maxime Durand. The France fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maxime Durand should have stopped the shot. Miklós Fehér might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maxime Durand. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miklós Fehér ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, France's Camille Baume got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 88th minute of the match France got a corner. FC Budapest's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. David Barbier ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of FC Budapest booed when France was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quentin Beaux didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute of the match Félix Kis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maxime Durand showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to France getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Frank Peletier hit a great ball. The FC Budapest fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when FC Budapest's Miklós Fehér looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. For all the effort they put into the match, the France players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Budapest.
