Alvise Di Crescenzo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Casper Claes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™'s goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Edmund Konopka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Belgium's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Alvise Di Crescenzo scored to the left of an out of position Casper Claes, making the score, 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alvise Di Crescenzo in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casper Claes saved Belgium from getting behind. Thanks to some nice moves Alvise Di Crescenzo could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Casper Claes however easily saved by the left post. The throw-in from Michal Helik in the 22nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Belgium's Floris Claeys. ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™'s Edmund Konopka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 24th minute of play. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Belgium's Lenny Clocheret got a free kick in the 32nd minute. The long shot by Cezary Duda in the 33rd minute really tested Casper Claes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Alvise Di Crescenzo struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Casper Claes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yves Dervaux in the 38th minute of play forced ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™'s goalkeeper Edmund Konopka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edward Vanderstraeten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Edmund Konopka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edward Vanderstraeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alvise Di Crescenzo to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Belgium's zone, Alvise Di Crescenzo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casper Claes came out of the goal and Alvise Di Crescenzo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™'s Joos Van den Haute was substituted for Tomasz Fosaa. Edmund Konopka made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. 64 minutes into the match, ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™'s goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Edmund Konopka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Belgium's zone, Alvise Di Crescenzo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casper Claes came out of the goal and Alvise Di Crescenzo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmund Konopka. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. Edmund Konopka made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. Edward Vanderstraeten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmund Konopka having to make a save. Alvise Di Crescenzo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Casper Claes having to make a save. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvise Di Crescenzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After a rather tough play, ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™'s Michal Helik got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 83 played minutes ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™ got a freekick which was hit by Cezary Duda. After having played for 86 minutes, Yves Dervaux managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belgium's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yves Dervaux was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Edmund Konopka made a huge save. With a little luck, ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™'s Edmund Konopka got control of the ball when Edward Vanderstraeten tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alvise Di Crescenzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvise Di Crescenzo in the 96th minute of play.
