Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Refik Ülgü in the 3rd minute of play. 3 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Refik Ülgü came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Amorim was a little too slow when Georgi Dimitrov got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marc Hainl in the 8th minute of play. Todor Yanchev made in the 15th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Portugal's Daniel Pimentel. The audience was convinced that Felipe Barreto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Georgi Velinov was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Roderigo in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute Felipe Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georgi Velinov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Faustino Almeida made a great header on Portugal's corner, it was just that FC CSKA's Georgi Velinov managed to reach the ball for a save. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Faustino Almeida sped through FC CSKA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Georgi Velinov. Georgi Velinov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Viriato Moura went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 35 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruslan Dzhalev. If Felipe Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ahmet Refik Ülgü was the one to do the kick off. Todor Yanchev charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Todor Yanchev the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Todor Yanchev kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Georgi Dimitrov scored 3-2 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Refik Ülgü, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute Ahmet Refik Ülgü shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruslan Dzhalev in the 71st minute of the match. After 73 played minutes FC CSKA got a freekick which was hit by Tanel Kiik. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. Portugal made a substitution. Wilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. 87 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Arnulfo Roderigo came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Ahmet Refik Ülgü notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Portugal's Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tenyo Fakirov kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Refik Ülgü came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 6-2 became the score in the 96th minute when Ruslan Dzhalev elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.
