After some careless play in the Kurzawka defense, Albin Holweck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robert Szel. The Kurzawka fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert Szel should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Germany's Albin Holweck got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 19th minute of the game Malte Schiele made a throw-in which Frank Sachs played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albin Holweck in the 21st minute of play forced Kurzawka's goalkeeper Robert Szel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albin Holweck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Kurzawka's Robert Szel got control of the ball when Frank Sachs tried to sneak it across the goal line.
