Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Chiquinho Pombal started the match with the kick off. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Chiquinho Pombal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Abutres 2003 FDP's Jan Figlewski got control of the ball when Felipe Barreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. 23 minutes in the game, Felipe Barreto dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Jan Figlewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. When Viriato Moura, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 26 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Jan Figlewski was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Portugal's Jan Figlewski threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Viriato Moura, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 30 minutes into the game, Abutres 2003 FDP's Osvaldinho Vergílio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 37th minute of the match Portugal got a corner. Abutres 2003 FDP's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Felipe Barreto ran over to the corner to take the kick. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Abutres 2003 FDP's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Felipe Barreto was slow to take the kick. During this time Portugal's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Portugal's corner Felipe Barreto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jan Figlewski quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Barreto got free with Jan Figlewski in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Barreto in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan Figlewski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Yahya Burçak in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Viriato Moura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Sinclair Heidemann in the 50th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Portugal's Daniel Pimentel. When Felipe Barreto came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Portugal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Barreto couldn't finish the play. 55 minutes in the game Ahmet Yahya Burçak did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Sinclair Heidemann. Jan Figlewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Moreira in the 58th minute of play. The throw-in from Sinclair Heidemann in the 65th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Portugal's Graciano Coutinho. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Osvaldinho Vergílio tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 69th minute of play forced Abutres 2003 FDP's goalkeeper Jan Figlewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan Figlewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 76th minute of the match. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fabiano Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felipinho Amorim in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan Figlewski saved Abutres 2003 FDP from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Rodolfo Miranda got a free kick in the 83rd minute. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Daniel Pimentel hit a great ball. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chiquinho Pombal in the 90th minute of play. Abutres 2003 FDP's Jan Figlewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Moreira in the 92nd minute of play. Sinclair Heidemann's late challenge caught a Portugal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sinclair Heidemann helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Abutres 2003 FDP's Sinclair Heidemann got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute Felipinho Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Figlewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Abutres 2003 FDP supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Abutres 2003 FDP would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
