Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amílcar Leiria in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of Belgium booed when Suprs Academia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nico Ota didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacek Ptaszek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yves Dervaux in the 29th minute of play. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Moutinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amílcar Leiria to make the kick off. In the 69th minute Yves Dervaux shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacek Ptaszek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
