The referee ignored Santos Campineiro's protests and gave Edgar Pitta a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Santos Campineiro getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. After the first half Santos Campineiro were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Santos Campineiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan Orlandus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Orlandus got free with Tommy Kahn in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Jonathan Orlandus kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tommy Kahn. That made the score 0-4 in the 89 minute of play. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Sidnei Baptista was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 96th minute. Santos Campineiro's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Onuralp Ergüden came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Santos Campineiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Onuralp Ergüden couldn't finish the play. The Germany fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Santos Campineiro were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
