Bjarne Kirkegaard made a great header on Denmark's corner, it was just that La vecchia signora's Thomas Ravelli managed to reach the ball for a save. Simon Bendtsen kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Michael Forss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd match minute, La vecchia signora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herman Arvidsson to maneuver through the defense. If Bertram Svenningsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isak Vestberg in the 24th minute of the match. After 25 minutes, Herman Arvidsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La vecchia signora and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, La vecchia signora's Herman Arvidsson got a free kick in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Chris Nygaard notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of La vecchia signora's Thomas Ravelli. Thomas Ravelli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thomas Ravelli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chris Nygaard in the 31st minute. Isak Vestberg kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Chris Nygaard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Denmark fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Mathias Ludvigsen kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Chris Nygaard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thomas Ravelli was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. In the 41st minute Gunnar Nordahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chris Nygaard made a kick off. Thomas Ravelli came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Denmark's Bertram Svenningsen. But to his dismay, Bertram Svenningsen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Michael Forss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chris Nygaard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, La vecchia signora's Isak Vestberg got a free kick in the 60th minute. 61 minutes into the match, La vecchia signora's goal looked a bit too open when Bertram Svenningsen came free, but Thomas Ravelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bertram Svenningsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Ravelli having to interfere. After 65 minutes, Svante Vestlund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La vecchia signora and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to La vecchia signora getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Svante Vestlund hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Bertram Svenningsen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denmark's supporters rose to their feet, but Bertram Svenningsen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Ravelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isak Vestberg charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isak Vestberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 74 minutes into the match, La vecchia signora's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but Thomas Ravelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 75th minute of the match Isak Vestberg completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Isak Vestberg a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Denmark booed when La vecchia signora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isak Vestberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Denmark's Chris Nygaard in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 88th minute there was a penalty for Denmark. Chris Nygaard stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Thomas Ravelli. 4-0. After 95 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Bertram Svenningsen. After having played for 98 minutes, Chris Nygaard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Denmark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chris Nygaard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Denmark fans cheered their team off the field, for while La vecchia signora had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
