When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Dorian Severo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Flavio Vittori to make any attempt to save it. 19 minutes into the match, S.C. Ferrari's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Bernardo Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 minutes S.C. Ferrari's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sigfrido Auletta who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 22nd minute of play forced S.C. Ferrari's goalkeeper Bernardo Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 26th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Zaccheo Andolina notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of S.C. Ferrari's Bernardo Lima. Bernardo Lima was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Siricio Liotta kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Dorian Severo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Flavio Vittori made a huge save. Dorian Severo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Flavio Vittori firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, S.C. Ferrari's Acácio de Andrade got a free kick in the 36th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Gergely Bollobás came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernardo Lima read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind S.C. Ferrari's goalkeeper Bernardo Lima, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute Italy were awarded a corner. Sigfrido Auletta went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Sigfrido Auletta almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but S.C. Ferrari's Bernardo Lima did a great save. In the 55th minute Gergely Bollobás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, S.C. Ferrari's Lars Vallengren seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lars Vallengren the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of S.C. Ferrari protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lars Vallengren had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. S.C. Ferrari's Patrick Angelsø was substituted for Dorian Severo. Sigfrido Auletta shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernardo Lima read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Bernardo Lima didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zaccheo Andolina went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. S.C. Ferrari made a substitution. Carlos Duarte replaced Acácio de Andrade. Bernardo Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 77th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Bernardo Lima successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Bernardo Lima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zaccheo Andolina's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. 80 minutes into the match, S.C. Ferrari's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Bernardo Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Italy getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Zaccheo Andolina hit a great ball. Italy made a substitution. Sansone Vanella replaced Gianpaolo Mascari. Italy made a substitution. Adriano Curto replaced Zaccheo Andolina. After 91 played minutes Italy got a freekick which was hit by Zaccheo Andolina. In the 93rd minute, Adriano Curto reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bernardo Lima. The goal made the score 1-3. Gergely Bollobás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The S.C. Ferrari fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Italy were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
