When Gustaaf Groeneveldt came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaaf Groeneveldt couldn't finish the play. In the 10th match minute, BilascuBM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Precious Wing to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dumitru Neața made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 19th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. BilascuBM's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that BilascuBM's Dumitru Neața managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silviu Paraschiv in the 21st minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horea Cucu in the 37th minute of the match. Dumitru Neața made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 40th minute of play. A collision led to BilascuBM getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Roland Wray hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roland Wray during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Horea Cucu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Dumitru Neața in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dumitru Neața was a little too slow when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 1-3. Vali Doman kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 55th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 57th minute of play forced BilascuBM's goalkeeper Dumitru Neața to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cătălin Chiliman in the 65th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in BilascuBM fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Netherlands a penalty, 69 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of BilascuBM's Dumitru Neața. 1-4. Thanks to some nice moves Gustaaf Groeneveldt could shoot a difficult shot in the 71st minute, which Dumitru Neața however easily saved by the left post. Dumitru Neața showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 78 minutes into the game, Cătălin Chiliman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BilascuBM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick. After a rather tough play, BilascuBM's Cătălin Chiliman got a free kick in the 78th minute. Dumitru Neața made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 82nd minute. After some careless play in the BilascuBM defense, Wim Wilmes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dumitru Neața. The BilascuBM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dumitru Neața should have stopped the shot. Gustaaf Groeneveldts short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Dumitru Neața to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Netherlands's Wim Wilmes got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Netherlands supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Netherlands would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
