The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Barreto in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ender Tanacan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ender Tanacan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 36th minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Sabit Acemoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 45th play minutes Felipe Barreto shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Ender Tanacan and just under the crossbar into goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Viriato Moura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ender Tanacan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 53rd minute of play forced 1461 Trabzon's goalkeeper Ender Tanacan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Barreto got free with Ender Tanacan in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 63 minutes into the match, Felipe Barreto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ender Tanacan, 1-2. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Fabricio Andrade hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Portugal's Ender Tanacan threw himself towards the right post 73 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bartolomeu Dias, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Mateusz Matusiak took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After 83 minutes of play, 1461 Trabzon's Mateusz Matusiak made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! The throw-in from Faustino Almeida in the 86th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by 1461 Trabzon's Marcelo Martínez. Portugal's attentive Felipinho Amorim managed to snatch the ball when Bahattin Gültekin made a throw-in in the 92nd minute of the game. The supporters of 1461 Trabzon booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Pimentel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the game, 1461 Trabzon's Mateusz Matusiak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. 1461 Trabzon were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Portugal for a fine match.
