After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Daniel Pimentel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portugal's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Pimentel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ter Stefanek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Felipe Barreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ter Stefanek having to make a save. Caetano Moreira took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ter Stefanek. Ter Stefanek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. 38 minutes into the match, CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS's Ke Zheng Xing sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 42 minutes in the game Rein Keerme did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ke Zheng Xing. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Bruno Bastos hit a great ball. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uriel Cayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

If Ciprian Răuțchi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ali Kağan Özerek hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match.
