Chris Nygaard took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eugenio Stefano. Eugenio Stefano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edoardo Rinaldi in the 30th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd match minute, Valdieri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davide Allemandi to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, Valdieri's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but Eugenio Stefano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Valdieri players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Denmark were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edoardo Rinaldi made a kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Valdieri's Edoardo Rinaldi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Keld Paulsen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Eugenio Stefano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 59th minute of play. Denmark's attentive Olav Graversen managed to snatch the ball when Eraldo Ippoliti made a throw-in in the 66th minute of the game. Arturo Verdone kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Eugenio Stefano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 72nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Valdieri's Ferruccio Franceschelli got a free kick in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edoardo Rinaldi in the 81st minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arturo Verdone hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Chris Nygaard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Eugenio Stefano made a huge save.
