The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Prishtina FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. With his leg Tommy Kahn managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Prishtina FC's Tião Donato fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albin Holweck in the 15th minute of play forced Prishtina FC's goalkeeper Hickey Dunne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Prishtina FC booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Dreifuss didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hickey Dunne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 25th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Tião Donato put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Tommy Kahn. After 39 minutes, Malte Schiele mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Germany and the Prishtina FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A very good opportunity. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Sachs made a kick off. Hickey Dunne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lilo Berberi in the 71st minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tião Donato in the 88th minute of the match. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute Donato Conrao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
