After a rather tough play, Germany's Sven Krakouer got a free kick in the 12th minute. Copetonas AFC's Jeronimo Franco got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Frank Sachs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelo Cordairo was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pompiliu Ciutacu in the 41st minute. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno da Mata, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute of the match, Breno da Mata tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tommy Kahn saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Sachs made a kick off. A collision led to Copetonas AFC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Diego Illan hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breno da Mata in the 56th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breno da Mata in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Breno da Mata ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommy Kahn was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Illan during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kostas Paxinos hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Albin Holweck kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcelo Cordairo. That made the score 2-1 in the 70 minute of play. Arko Thomaschewski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Kahn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Sachs got free with Marcelo Cordairo in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Frank Sachs hit a great ball. Copetonas AFC's Domingo Pedroso was substituted for Casper Fasting. The supporters of Copetonas AFC booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Sachs didn't get a good kick on the ball.
