Aniol Peña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enzo Del Pizzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 9th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Aniol Peña had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aniol Peña was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Aniol Peña's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Enzo Del Pizzo was a little too slow when Viriato Moura got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aniol Peña in the 34th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute JEMBer UTara were awarded a corner. İlyas Seçkiner went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Portugal's goalie and right to Lucas Eger. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Portugal's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. A collision led to JEMBer UTara getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Rolly Salisbury hit a great ball. In the 44th minute, Aniol Peña made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aniol Peña stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
