Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Sadurni in the 5th minute of play. 5 minutes into the game, Segundo Sadurni cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Segundo Sadurni in the 9th minute of the match. Bernardo Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 10th minute of play. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Bernardo Amorim made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Segundo Sadurni in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnout Reekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardo Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Segundo Sadurni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Bernardo Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Segundo Sadurni made a precise shot to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anacleto Ferrer in the 36th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute of the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bernardo Amorim saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Segundo Sadurni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. In the 46th match minute, Humos del Cairo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Segundo Sadurni to maneuver through the defense. The Netherlands players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Humos del Cairo FC were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Segundo Sadurni to make the kick off. A collision led to Humos del Cairo FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Esteban Ibar hit a great ball. In the 61st match minute, Humos del Cairo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Ibar to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Netherlands defense, German Unax kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Reekers should have stopped the shot. 66 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernardo Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. In the 74th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Humos del Cairo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Bernardo Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th match minute, Humos del Cairo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niclas Hellström to maneuver through the defense. A beautiful save bye Netherlands's goalie prevented a goal.
