When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Ralf Stauber sped through France's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Maxime Durand. Maxime Durand made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Ralf Stauber sent off a good shot on target. 23 minutes into the match, France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipe Schätzle. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bearcreek United fans cheered their team off the field, for while France had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
