Italy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olli Fiedler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Robert Davison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Porziano Marchitelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sportivo Luan Toro's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sigfrido Auletta was slow to take the kick. During this time Italy's players had a chance to rest. Italy's Siricio Liotta quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Guaberto Bento, made in the 31st minute of the game. Guaberto Bento got a throw-in 33 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Alberto Fidencio. Robert Davison made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 36th minute of play. Robert Davison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Zaccheo Andolina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robert Davison. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zaccheo Andolina to strike the kick off in the second half. Olli Fiedler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flavio Vittori read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. After 55 minutes Sportivo Luan Toro's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sigfrido Auletta who took care of the corner kick. Italy's Gianpaolo Mascari was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Robert Davison in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Italy's attentive Siricio Liotta managed to snatch the ball when Sergius Ramus made a throw-in in the 64th minute of the game. In the 68th minute of the game Sergius Ramus made a throw-in which Martins Palermo played forward. Martins Palermo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flavio Vittori read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Flavio Vittori didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martins Palermo went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. Italy made a substitution. Sansone Vanella replaced Gianpaolo Mascari. Italy made a substitution. Adriano Curto replaced Zaccheo Andolina. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. 96 minutes into the game, Sportivo Luan Toro's Martins Palermo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Flavio Vittori made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-3. Italy's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
