The supporters of Deportivo Galicia booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertram Svenningsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miro Tubia made in the 13th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Cordeara Igay immediately put the ball in play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maiorga Espriella in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keld Paulsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Galicia's goalkeeper Elequemedo Villafañe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Elequemedo Villafañe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 21st minute of play. Julian Castañares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miro Tubia made in the 25th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cordeara Igay however managed to control. Cordeara Igay's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cordeara Igay helped the player get up and apologised. Cordeara Igay hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Cordeara Igay could shoot a difficult shot in the 40th minute, which Keld Paulsen however easily saved by the left post. Miro Tubia made in the 41st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cordeara Igay however managed to control. In the 42nd match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olav Graversen to maneuver through the defense.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chris Nygaard to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes Deportivo Galicia got a freekick which was hit by Miro Tubia. After having played for 56 minutes, Bertram Svenningsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Denmark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bertram Svenningsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bertram Svenningsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elequemedo Villafañe having to interfere. Deportivo Galicia made a substitution. Paskal Iturcha replaced Cordeara Igay. Deportivo Galicia's Niva Mauleon was substituted for Julian Castañares. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paskal Iturcha, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After 69 minutes, Kenn Skou mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Denmark and the Deportivo Galicia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Denmark's Chris Nygaard got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 78th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Ludvigsen to maneuver through the defense. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paskal Iturcha in the 82nd minute of play. Deportivo Galicia's Zelipe Nebot suffered a sore thigh after 83 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Lars Steen charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lars Steen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lars Steen kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Lars Steen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Paskal Iturcha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paskal Iturcha in the 88th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the game, Cordario Madera was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Galicia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. A collision led to Deportivo Galicia getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Cordario Madera hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Paskal Iturcha put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Keld Paulsen. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paskal Iturcha in the 95th minute of play. Denmark's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Deportivo Galicia had won, even though Denmark had held more of the ball.
