Justo Mano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. Ingmar Wiman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th match minute, Deportivo Empate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beniamin Bendyk to maneuver through the defense. Kristoffer Martinsson made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Wim Wilmes sent off a good shot on target. Kristoffer Martinsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Meesters in the 28th minute of the match. When the match had been going on for 36 minutes, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Kristoffer Martinsson. In the 40th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ingmar Wiman made a kick off. After some careless play in the Deportivo Empate defense, Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kristoffer Martinsson. The Deportivo Empate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kristoffer Martinsson should have stopped the shot. 57 minutes into the game, Gustaaf Groeneveldt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Kristoffer Martinsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Beniamin Bendyk made in the 62nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Netherlands's Bas Tuitert. Bas Tuitert kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, Ingmar Wiman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arnout Reekers. Ingmar Wiman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingmar Wiman in the 71st minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beniamin Bendyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Netherlands had won after a very even match.
