The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Borussia Dortmund MZB's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Scott Garcia ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Borussia Dortmund MZB's goalkeeper Jiang Chao Di, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With his leg Jiang Chao Di managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Trinidad & Tobago's Shurwayne Bradley fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 85th minute, LeBron Naldo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Borussia Dortmund MZB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. Trinidad & Tobago's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Borussia Dortmund MZB had won, even though Trinidad & Tobago had held more of the ball.
