Elias Rojelio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 3rd minute of play. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Ferrando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Doug Stanley came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Caprichosos FC booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Dreifuss didn't get a good kick on the ball. Germany's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frank Sachs in the 25th minute. Germany's Frank Sachs was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Elias Rojelio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great ball. The throw-in from Ladislao Cordarrel in the 32nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Germany's Willy Stieler. After 33 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Chris Mergenthaler. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filiberto Bermudo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Jeremias Ferrando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the game, Caprichosos FC's Yüce Vecdi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Sachs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cornelius Stormo got a throw-in 55 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Yüce Vecdi. 60 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Ferrando came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elias Rojelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 61st minute of the match. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Rojelio having to interfere. Elias Rojelio didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 68th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Frank Sachs kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yüce Vecdi in the 75th minute of play. After 75 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Dreifuss. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filiberto Bermudo in the 76th minute of play. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Filiberto Bermudo sped through Germany's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The supporters of Caprichosos FC booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Janik Vogt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Godofredo Gaztea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caprichosos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Godofredo Gaztea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frank Sachs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Elias Rojelio made a huge save. Frank Sachs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elias Rojelio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Germany were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Caprichosos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Frank Sachs took the corner. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Janik Vogt advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-3 in the 96th minute. The Germany supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Germany would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
