Felipe Barreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Serginho Nogueira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Barreto ran back to his position shaking his head. Serginho Nogueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 10th minute of the match. Wilson Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Demis Katsarolidis in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Demis Katsarolidis. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juninho Freitas in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 18th minute of play forced PIAUÍ FC's goalkeeper Serginho Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, PIAUÍ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Serginho Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, PIAUÍ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Serginho Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Víktor Santos hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Felipe Barreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Serginho Nogueira having to make a save. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. Baturhan Oytun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felipe Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Serginho Nogueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 40th minute of play. A collision led to PIAUÍ FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Gilvan Azevedo hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

PIAUÍ FC's Serginho Nogueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 60th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Portugal's Viriato Moura slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Serginho Nogueira. That made the score 2-2 after 60 minutes of play. Fabricio Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serginho Nogueira having to interfere. Felipe Barreto scored 2-3 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serginho Nogueira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. PIAUÍ FC made a substitution. Leonel Fero replaced Renato Sá. Baturhan Oytun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 72 minutes of play, PIAUÍ FC's Demis Katsarolidis made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Serginho Nogueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Pimentel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 78 minutes, Bartolomeu Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portugal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bartolomeu Dias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 82nd minute Guga Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Portugal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PIAUÍ FC the free kick. Graciano Coutinho hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Fernandinho Mesquita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wilson Amorim. Portugal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baturhan Oytun in the 95th minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
