Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Frank Sachs started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Germany's Sven Krakouer got a free kick in the 8th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albin Holweck in the 13th minute of play forced AEK FC's goalkeeper Kenneth Knudsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, AEK FC's Henrik Tjelle got a free kick in the 14th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kent Remme in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. 21 minutes into the match, Albin Holweck notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of AEK FC's Kenneth Knudsen. Kenneth Knudsen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind AEK FC's goalkeeper Kenneth Knudsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Germany's Sven Krakouer got a free kick in the 30th minute. A collision led to AEK FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Kent Remme hit a great ball. In the 38th minute of the game Henrik Tjelle made a throw-in which Cornelius Bjørgo played forward. Kenneth Knudsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th minute Albin Holweck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenneth Knudsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steve Triganza in the 46th minute of the match. After 48 minutes Germany's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cornelius Bjørgo who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Cornelius Bjørgo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Germany's Tommy Kahn did a great save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kent Remme made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Kent Remme managed to get in a good position for a shot. AEK FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kent Remme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Frank Sachs came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Sachs couldn't finish the play. In the 69th minute Kent Remme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Steve Triganza came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sven Krakouer fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Sven Krakouer a yellow card for diving instead. After 74 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Sven Krakouer. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Steve Triganza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Steve Triganza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Sachs got free with Kenneth Knudsen in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Henrik Tjelle made in the 81st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Germany's Linus Schwerner. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenneth Knudsen having to interfere. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Remme, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The supporters of Germany booed when AEK FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars-Erik Angvik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Germany were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over AEK FC's much stronger midfield.
